The Wi-Fi enabled Smart Si offers owners full online support through its proprietary web portal and downloadable iOS and Android apps. This includes viewing and changing temperatures from afar ( a nice touch for frequent vacationers looking to cut down on power bills); service alerts that warn you of potential malfunctions and when it’s time to change your furnace filter; and live usage, in the form of complete history reports that analyze the most efficient ways to heat and cool your home. The thermostat also comes with a full-color screen that not only displays the indoor temperature, but also the current weather conditions you’re facing outside. Though last time we checked, Mother Nature was a lot easier to control from inside over a wireless network.
