Marantz just announced two new AV receivers that are designed at audiophiles; according to Sound & Vision, both are “tuned to deliver audiophile-quality sound.” There’s the Marantz SR5014 ($999), which is a 100-watt AV receiver that can support up to a 7.2-channel speaker system, and then there’s the pricer SR6014 ($1,499), which is a 110-watt AV receiver that can support up to a 7.2-channel system.

Both the SR5014 and the SR6014 support IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Atmos height virtualization technology, the latter meaning the 7.1-channel (and up) system will sound incredibly immersive without needing dedicated height-channel speakers. They also run on Denon’s Heos platform, allowing you to integrate the receivers into a multiroom sound system. On the TV side, the two AV receivers support the most popular high dynamic range technologies, including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG high dynamic range.

The Marantz SR5014 and the Marantz SR6014 will be available mid-July.
