You Can Tweak the Feel of This Overkill Mouse to an Absurd Degree

The Nightsword gaming mouse can calculate its own center of gravity and lets you tweak it using two sets of weights and six places to mount them.

If you’ve ever tried to be mildly competitive at PC gaming, you’ll know that no mere Magic Mouse will do. And while there are a whole host of mice with extra buttons, built-in sensitivity settings and custom weighting options, Corsair’s new Nightsword takes things a step further by calculating its own center of gravity.

Just like any good gaming mouse, the Nightsword comes with programmable buttons (ten of them), a high 18,000DPI optical sensor for registering very fine movements, and weights to tweak the feel and inertia of the mouse to your liking. But for added (and maybe ultimately unneccessary) detail, the Nightsword comes with software that can calculate and report back on its own balance as you test it out and mess around with its two sets of weights, and six locations where you can put them. Unless you’re a literal pro, you probably dont need this kind of data, but it is fun.

As an added bonus, the Nightsword also has an ambidextrous design, so it’s perfectly suitable for lefties, who often get the short end of the stick when it comes to cool mice. It’s available now on Amazon and from Corsair directly.
