Right after the new iPad Pro, in all its edge-to-edge glory, was announced, we published a round-up of all the best USB-C accessories for it. One of those accessories was Satechi’s mobile hub. It’s a $60 dock that adds four important ports to your iPad Pro. It has an HDMI port, allowing you to easily hook it up to a 4K monitor or TV. There’s a headphone jack, which sadly none of the latest iPhones or iPad Pros have. And there’s USB-A 3.0 (up to 5 Gb/s) and USB-C ports, the latter of which supports Power Delivery, so you can still fast charge the iPad Pro when using it. All in all, it’s a simple but effective accessory that most creatives will find vital. Unfortunately, there’s no SD card reader on it, so photographers will have to pick up a separate accessory for $39.
The Satechi Type-C Mobile Pro Hub was announced at the same time as the iPad, but it was only available for pre-order. Now it’s finally shipping — you can order one now and it’ll arrive before the holidays. It’s a great gift for anybody with a new iPad Pro. Just make sure to match it with the model they have: like the iPad Pro, it comes in both silver and space gray models.
Editor’s Note: From now until the end of the year, you can buy Satechi’s mobile hub for 20-percent off. Just enter the code MOH20%OFF and the normally $60 accessory will be cut down to $48.
