Aside from the slimmed down bezels, edge-to-edge display, new ludicrously powerful processor, and Face ID, the other upgrade with Apple’s fresh batch of iPad Pros is that they’ve fully adopted USB-C. It’s a slight bummer you won’t be able to charge these new iPad Pros with the same Lightning cable as your iPhone, but at the same time, it now shares the same charging setup as the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. And that’s nice.
The USB-C addition also allows the new iPad Pro to do some other pretty cool things, like charge your other devices, upload photos straight from your DSLR, or even hook it up to an external display (up to 5K). That said, if you want to use your new iPad Pro more like a computer, which creative professionals undoubtedly will, you’ll also need some USB-C dongles. Here are the most useful adapters and cables so far.
