JBL announced earlier this year that it would be releasing a new set of loudspeakers, the JBL 4312SE, to mark its 70th anniversary. After some delays, those speakers are now available, as reported by What Hi-Fi?: The JBL 4312SE is a high-performance studio monitor loudspeaker that, according to JBL, is a “direct descendant of the legendary model 4310/4311 family.” It’s built in the same 12-inch (300mm) three-way design, which was popular for recording monitors in the 1970s. They’re designed so they can be positioned horizontally or vertically, as well. Expect the speakers to pair superb bass with crisp highs, ideal for listening to old Eagles or Led Zeppelin albums.
