If you’re excited at the prospect of an iPhone 12 later this year, be aware it won’t be coming until after September. On an earning’s call yesterday, Apple CFO Luca Maestri explained that unlike last year, supplies won’t be available until October.
While Maestri did not reveal the specific reason for this, the global COVID-19 epidemic that has caused so many supply chain hiccups already is a good bet. Whatever the case, the new iPhone may well still be announced in September, but just with a little bit of a gap between the reveal and when you can expect to have it in hand.
