Audiophiles and fans of Joey Roth’s heralded Ceramic Speakers ($1,195) — two satellites, subwoofer and amplifier — take notice. The Portland-based industrial designer has announced his latest design, Ceramic Towers ($2,350). The floor-standing speakers work with the Ceramic Speakers that Roth introduced in 2009, elevating them to about 26 inches high. This also extends their low-frequency response by two octaves. Roth says they effectively “transform the Ceramic Speakers into a full-room floor-standing system.” You can use the Ceramic Speakers you already own with the new towers, or buy them together and get a $50 discount.
