For sports and more.

Wireless Bluetooth headphones are having their moment, and while Bose (one of the biggest names in premium personal audio) has contributed to this category, most notably with their SoundLink on-ear ($220+) and SoundLink around-ear ($250+) headphones, they’re much better known for their active noise-canceling devices, like their highly lauded QuietComfort 25 over-ear ($299) and QuietComfort 20 in-ear ($299) headphones.

That’s about to change. Bose have announced four new wireless headphones — two active noise canceling and two sport. The new QC30 and QC35 headphones are the next generation of Bose’s QC25s and QC20s. And for those looking for a sweat-proof headphone for running, Bose has finally entered that market with the SoundSport and the SoundSport Pulse. Each of these new wireless headphones have NFC functionality, intuitive music and call controls, voice prompts (for setup information, caller ID and battery life), and they work with the Bose Connect app.

Bose QuietComfort 35

The new QC35 around-ear headphones promise, according to Bose, to offer the best noise-cancellation ability of any wired or wireless headphone. Bose assures that communicating (whether on the phone or with Siri) with these QC35 will offer crystal-clear audio. They plan to deliver on that promise with their dual-mic system, which will “reject the annoying background sounds that interfere with talking.” The headphones have a battery life of up to 20 hours, and on the right ear cup there are simple buttons to turn the device on and off, control music playback, change the volume and answer incoming calls.

The QC35s are available now. They come in black and silver models.

Bose QuietControl 30

The QuietControl 30s are the most advanced in-ear ANC headphones ever. They offer controllable noise cancellation, so listeners can adjust how much ambient sound they hear. Need complete isolation? Turn the ANC all the way up. Want to hear your surroundings? Lower the ANC. And, obviously, you can shut it off altogether. Changing the ANC is as simple as changing the volume — just scroll on your device or hit the button on the headphone’s in-line remote. Additionally, the QC30 boasts 10 hours of battery life (max) and the basic on-headphone controls you’d expect to adjust volume or answer calls. Unfortunately, these QC30s aren’t sweat-proof and a little too weighty to run in (that’s why Bose also introduced the SoundSport).

The QC30s will be available in September 2016 for $300. For now, they’ll only be available in black.

Bose SoundSport and SoundSport Pulse

The SoundSport and SoundSport Pulse headphones are sweat and water resistant. They have a special sport-version of Bose’s StayHear+ eartips that the brand claims are more durable and fit more snuggly than past iterations (yes, they have the wingtips). Where the two differ is that the Pulse headphones come with a built-in heart-rate monitor that’s compatible with a number of fitness apps, including Runkeeper and Endomondo. The SoundSport and SoundSport Pulse both have an inline mic and remote to allow users to skip songs, change volume and take calls. As for battery life, the SoundSport Pulse will last up to five hours, while the SoundSport can last up to six.

The SoundSport headphones are available now for $150. They are available in black and aqua, and in citron come September. The SoundSport Pulse will go on sale in September 2016 for $200. They’ll be available in red.
