Unimatic is still pretty new to the game by watch brand standards. Even so, the Italian outfit has gotten off to a rollicking start. That’s been helped by the brand’s focus on rock-solid tool watches, its watches’ unmistakable minimalist styling and a consistent release schedule.
Speaking of consistent releases, Unimatic’s latest drop is a fresh, gorgeous take on its affordable titanium field watch. But the Unimatic Modello Due U2S-T-W has more than just good looks. The outdoor-inspired timepiece also incorporates a pretty novel material.

On the hunt
The first thing you’ll likely notice about this take on the Modello Due is the khaki colorway. The connection between field watches and this globetrotting adventurer-favored palette is probably pretty obvious. But there’s an even deeper connection than you might think.
The minimalist dial, which features Super-LumiNova GL light old radium lume on its hand and indices, sports a “Verde Safari” colorway entirely new to the brand.
That dial configuration was picked to match the watch’s box-stitched, two-piece leather strap. But here’s the real kicker: that strap isn’t made from cowhide. It’s made from elk.
