Luggage fees are the bane of any frequent flyer’s adventures. Not only does everything you’ve packed have to weigh under a certain amount to avoid exorbitant costs, but the bag itself is included in that weight.
Getting lightweight luggage can make all the difference, but not if it sacrifices security and strength. That’s why Tumi meticulously redesigned its iconic 19 Degree luggage into the new, revamped 19 Degree Lite lineup. These bags blend strength and lightness, even down to the tiniest details.

Lighter than ever before
This is actually Tumi’s lightest luggage collection ever. For reference, the brand’s previous 19 Degree Continental Carry-On weighs 8.2 pounds, while the 19 Degree Lite Continental Carry-On is just 6.6 pounds.
That’s no easy feat to achieve, especially while maintaining the same size specs. Tumi managed this with an all-new construction, employing a lighter thermoplastic material called Tegris for the bags’ exteriors.
[Tumi] didn’t just go for what was lightweight; it carefully chose parts that were also robust and resilient.
