This jacket is made from a performance version of Stone Island’s Raso Gommato fabric. This material has been making big waves in the fashion industry, especially among those who appreciate mil-spec and military-inspired apparel.

This particular material consists of rubberized satin—satin fabric bonded to a breathable, water-resistant and windproof membrane protected with a superlight polyester mesh. It’s as tough and durable (in all conditions) as it is lightweight and breathable.

It’s not entirely dissimilar to traditional waxed canvas in concept — a durable, relatively lightweight fabric that’s weatherproof and stylish — although lighter and more durable.
