Let Your Favorite Summer Sneaker Brand Carry You Into Fall

Since their merge with Nike, Converse is putting out footwear that kicks ass year-round.

Converse has earned its ubiquity many times over with classic canvas sneakers, but in the last several years their merge with Nike has yielded some really, really cool new stuff. Case in point: these autumn-ready boots and hi-tops that feature GORE-TEX fabrics, suede, nubuck, vulcanized rubber and sturdy hiker-inspired designs. And one of the best parts of the whole range is that you can get that all-weather protection without the weight or bulk of winter boots we’ve all worn before. There’s a time and place for big clunky footwear, but unless you’re trekking through knee-deep snow, these might be just the ticket.

Priced a bit higher than the run-of-the-mill sneakers we’ve all been wearing since March, these are the warmer, harder-wearing shoes and boots you’ll be reaching for as temperatures drop and clean sidewalks give way to slush. When — not if — you step in a puddle, you’ll be thankful for the upgrade.
