San Francisco-based Taylor Stitch is offering a tasteful chukka boot that is both weatherproof and rebuildable. The Chukka is made in León, Mexico — a city where many respected brands produce handmade footwear — and features a 4-ounce weatherproof suede upper. Like Alden and Red Wing chukkas, these utilize Goodyear welt construction so they’re completely rebuildable if you damage the sole or heel. The Chukka is comfortable out of the box with a sheepskin lining, a foam insole, a leather sole and a rubber heel. Normally $298, they are 12 percent off if you pre-order them now and will run you $248 — that’s a great price for an everyday boot that’ll just get better as seasons pass.
