Wallabee boots are a classic off-duty shoe, first introduced by Clarks in the ’60s, but the traditional crepe sole and thin suede construction make for poor wearing in inclement weather. The brand’s new Wallabee GTX boot, however, swaps out the aforementioned sole for a rugged Vibram number that improves the boot’s traction on the trail and grip on ice. The Gore-Tex membrane in the the boot’s suede uppers further weather-proofs the Wallabees, suggesting the boots will survive and thrive the winter, unlike Wallabees past.
