This Iconic Waxed Jacket Is, Once Again, the Real Hero of ‘The Last of Us’

The Last of Us is back on TV. And with it, one very famous jacket.

Throughout the season two premiere, Pedro Pascal’s character Joel Miller didn’t take off his favorite piece of outerwear, the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket from Huckberry house brand Flint and Tinder.

A staple in Huckberry’s catalog, the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket is the closest you’ll come to a modern menswear icon.

First released in 2016, the jacket has since developed a cult following, thanks to its tough sailcloth fabric, cozy layer of insulation and high-profile cameos, including now both season’s of HBO’s hit series The Last of Us. Its connection to Pedro Pascal goes all the way back to the series premiere in 2023.

In Gear Patrol‘s full-length review of the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket, our tester called it a “flattering jacket with impressive functionality.”

What’s more, the waxed finish means it only looks more handsome by the day, as evidenced by Pedro Pascal’s scenes in the latest season of The Last of Us.

According to Huckberry sources, the jacket the actor wore throughout the first episode was still the Field Tan colorway he donned throughout the first season.

However, it has since aged into a rich dark brown halfway between the Havana and Forest variants also on offer from the retailer.

At the time of writing, the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket is still available in every size. It costs $298.

But don’t sit on it for long; the jacket sold out several times over the course of the shoe’s run in 2023 and rarely goes on sale, even during Black Friday.
