The year is still young but don’t tell Nike.

The sportswear giant has already released its fastest Vaporfly yet; leveled up its best new everyday sneaker; and introduced the most technical daily trainer in its 54-year history (or 61 if you count its early days as Blue Ribbon Sports).

However, the shoe that’s stole the show so far in 2025 isn’t a shoe at all. It’s a Crocs-like recovery solution that sits in-between a clog and a slide.

As the name suggests, the ReactX Rejuven8 features Nike’s ReactX cushioning technology, fashioned into a one-piece recovery solution.

Nike calls it the ReactX Rejuven8, a name that proudly brags about its chief technology. That, of course, is the brand’s ReactX foam, which debuted in 2023 with the Nike InfinityRN 4 and now is used across its lineup of everyday trainers, including the Pegasus 41 and the Pegasus Premium.

According to Nike, ReactX is both more sustainable and responsive than the original React formula.

According to the brand, ReactX foam spent five years in development and reduces Nike’s carbon footprint by close to 50 percent compared to the original React foam.

What’s more, it offers a double-digit increase in energy return, not to mention a comfortable platform for, say, tired legs and feet — precisely the things the ReactX Rejuven8 aims to address with its one-piece construction, whereby the entire design is shaped by the stuff.

The ReactX Rejuven8 has come out in a handful of colorways so far this year. Every one, including Smoke Grey (pictured), has effectively sold out in minutes.

The slip-on originally came out in January and promptly sold out in every colorway, inspiring hundreds of videos on social media that have only fueled its rise post facto.

Limited availability

That hype was on full display for its first rerelease of the year, when Nike dropped new colorways of the clog (this time in Smoke Grey and Black), as well as a true slide version that comes in six unique shades.

As of May, the ReactX Rejuven8 also comes in a slide format.

Within minutes, most sizes in the clog sold out. However, shoppers can still pick up the slide in a majority of the available colorways.

The best part? The clog retails for just $70, with the slide coming in at $60. That is, of course, assuming you manage to get your feet in a pair at MSRP.

Some of the more coveted colorways of the clog, such as Green Strike, have retailed for as much as $240 on secondhand sites like StockX.
