The Pegasus Premium has an identity crises.
On the one hand, it’s arguably Nike’s coolest daily trainer, or at least its most impressive: the shoe packs three distinct technologies (ZoomX, ReactX and Air Zoom) into a single, responsive shoe.
It’s fun to run in and even more fun to brag about.

But the weight (11.5 ounces for a US men’s 10), price ($210) and, frankly, its rather attractive disposition have prompted a debate among runners as to whether or not the shoe should be seen as a glorified lifestyle sneaker.
For better or worse, a new colorway will do little to settle it.
