Nike seems to be making room for a new crop of summer and fall 2025-themed kicks, and as a result, it’s now quietly dropped the price on one of its best casual sneakers of the last 15 years: the Nike Killshot 2, in both premium leather and suede configurations.

And best of all, the discount doesn’t just apply to bold or obscure color options few people can wear with confidence.

Instead, all but one iteration of the sneaker is discounted by 25% or more and most are still available in a wide range of sizes too.

From the Courts to the Streets

The original Killshot was explicitly designed for racquetball and squash and featured a mixture of athletic and premium materials, including open mesh and suede overlays. Nike re-released a tribute to this shoe called the Killshot OG in 2020 which is shown above.

In case you aren’t familiar with the sneaker, the original Killshot was designed in the 1970s as a performance shoe for racquetball and squash.

The early iterations featured a breathable mesh upper, complemented by suede overlays at the toe and heel — a utilitarian look that quietly delivered on indoor courts.

Then came 2009. Nike linked up with J.Crew to release a leather-clad update: the Killshot 2. The collaboration struck a nerve. Drops vanished in seconds. What was once a niche court shoe became a cult favorite, helped along by its exclusive availability through the preppy American retailer — until Nike finally brought the silhouette into its own lineup.

Today, the Killshot 2 is more than a retro sneaker. It’s a staple of the modern heritage menswear movement, a shoe that threads the needle between minimalist style and vintage appeal.

And it continues to resonate — not just on sidewalks, but on screen. In 2024, it made appearances in the Zendaya-led tennis drama Challengers, and Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, starring Adam Brody.

Now, at a price of less than $80, this might be the footwear steal of the summer while sizes and the right colorways last.
