Nike’s forgotten football shoe, worn by NFL legends Archie Manning and Dan Fouts in the 1980s, had been sidelined for decades until a faithful reissue in early 2024.
Now it’s leading the brand’s charge against Adidas and New Balance in the retro-sneaker game, with its latest colorway making the case for not just MVP but future hall of famer.

Back in brown
The color, dubbed “Cacao Wow,” sees the Field General adopt a simple brown upper, which replaces white leather on both the original and handful of reissues over the last year and a half.
