Founded more than a century ago, New Balance continues to break new ground. Only this time, it’s with the help of legendary skater Andrew Reynolds.
Reynolds, who first rose to fame in late 1990s, joined the Boston brand’s skate division Numeric in 2023. Two years later, we finally know why.

After an 18-month development process, the pair have at long last unveiled the 933, Reynolds first-ever signature shoe under the Numeric umbrella.
“The signature model shoe is the highest accolade in skateboarding,” said Tyrone Romero, the global marketing manager at the brand. “He’s done so much for the culture … Giving him a signature shoe is a complete honor.”

Unlike your typical skate shoe, however, the 993 looks more like a lifestyle trainer, taking design cues from New Balance’s storied 99x series. Of particular note is the specific soft-suede paneling across the upper, reminiscent of the brand’s 990v6 and 993 models.
