Tommy John Apollo 6″ Mid-Length Boxer Brief
They say the foundation of any good outfit is your shoes, but we’d have to disagree. We posit that the foundation of any good outfit is your base, next-to-skin layer. For many, that’s a pair of briefs. If you’re in the camp of: “I can’t remember the last time I bought a new pair,” or: “I buy the same cotton ones I always have,” then it’s time to step into the modern era. As a part of the brand’s new Apollo line launch, Tommy John (which has been making elevated underwear since 2008) has released a pair of boxer briefs that combine comfort, flexibility and durability seamlessly — a difficult balance to strike. Our tester had the opportunity to take the Apollo 6″ Mid-Length Boxer Briefs for a test drive, and they live up to the hype. The comfort was supreme, and while it would be difficult for our tester to comment on durability, the briefs look and feel new after a number of wears and washes.
Exclusive Fabric Blend
Much of the Apollo 6″ Mid-Length Boxer Brief’s benefits can be attributed to the fabric — and it’s a unique one. They are crafted from a performance-grade drirelease® fabric blend that’s exclusive to Tommy John and is both hydrophobic and hydrophilic, so it pulls and repels moisture to keep you dry and comfortable.
Ultra-Soft Yet Durable
It took Tommy John over four years to develop the Apollo. The unique blend is incredibly soft and stretchy to the touch, but surprisingly, will withstand up to 100,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale Test with zero signs of wear. They are the perfect base for your do-it-all fit.
Premium Design
The Apollo 6″ Mid-Length Boxer Briefs are breathable and moisture-wicking — allowing you to stay cool and comfortable even as the temperatures rise outside. In fact, they will keep you up to seven degrees Fahrenheit cooler than cotton. But beyond just performance, they also include clever features like the horizontal Quick-DrawⓇ Fly, a Stay-Put waistband and legs that don’t ride up.
