Filson’s Mackinaw Cruiser is a time-tested, legendary winter jacket. But it isn’t much good once the weather warms up. Fortunately, a new addition to the Cruiser line fills that gap.
The newly released Field Cruiser Jacket is a stripped-down, welterweight version of the Seattle outfitter’s most iconic jacket, offering the same utility as the rest of the Cruiser collection, with the added versatility of a shirt jacket.

Three-season range
The new jacket is made from 9.5-ounce cotton fabric modeled after the canvas used in vintage military apparel. It comes in a green colorway resembling vintage M51 US Army jackets, as well as a weathered navy blue for a washed denim look. The fabric is soft and breathable but tough enough to bear the Filson name.

It has almost the same pocket layout as the Mackinaw Cruiser, with only the back panel pocket missing. This means that the Field Cruiser offers more carrying capacity than the aesthetically similar M65 jacket and significantly outperforms any chore coat.
