Daniel Craig’s run as James Bond may have come to an end three years ago with No Time to Die, but its effect on men’s style will continue to be felt for years to come.

Craig’s Bond had a knack for transforming once-niche brands like Billy Reid and Orlebar Brown into household names, and his rugged take on the iconic superspy easily ranks among the most influential film characters ever when it comes to men’s fashion.

One of the brands favored by Craig’s 007 that gained more widespread recognition as a result is Crockett & Jones. The English heritage shoemaker has been in business since 1879, but after Craig wearing a number of the brand’s dress shoes and boots in his final three films — Skyfall, Spectre and NTTD — brought the brand new levels of notoriety.

Over the course of its 145-year history, Crockett & Jones has specialized and shoes and shoe accessories exclusively, but now the brand is branching out in a way that James Bond would almost certainly approve of.

For the first time ever, Crockett & Jones has launched a Leather Goods Collection of wallets and card holders, all of which are perfect if you’re looking to create a classy James Bond-inspired EDC setup.

Like C&J’s shoes, which are Goodyear-welted and typically run between $650 and $850, the brand’s new wallets are extremely high quality with a price to match. The Leather Goods Collection is divided into five families, with the type of leather used being the differentiating factor.

First up is “The Classics,” which is composed of the brand’s most traditional smooth leathers: Black Calf and dark-brown Hurricane Hide. Then there’s “The Sophisticated,” which introduces a new embossed leather dubbed Willow Grain, which is the brand’s first linear grain and features an evenly distributed grain pattern.

Next is “Shell Cordovan,” which obviously is made of the hard-wearing horsehide of the same name. This leather has long been considered the crème de la crème of shoe leathers, and C&J exclusively sources its shell cordovan from Chicago’s renowned Horween tannery.

A smaller “Crocodile” category is made of, you guessed it, natural crocodile leather, which is extremely tough and features a naturally scaled pattern. Lastly, and arguably the most interesting, is the “Weekender” category.

These wallets are made from Crockett & Jones’s rough-out suede, a wax-impregnated suede with a very tight weave. It’s rugged, waterproof and develops its own alluring patina with wear. C&J claims it’s the first time such a material has been used to make a wallet.

Most intriguing are the “Weekenders,” like this billfold, which are made of C&J’s waterproof, wax-impregnated rough-out suede that it’s used in boots since the 1980s.

Pricing and Availability

There are three types of wallets in the Leather Goods Collection — a small card holder, medium folding card case, and full-size billfold wallet — but not every option is available in every material.

You can get the billfold in every material but crocodile, the card holder in every material but rough-out suede, and the folded card case in shell cordovan, rough-out suede and smooth leather.

Prices are pretty wide-ranging, beginning at $200 for a smooth leather card holder and topping out at $900 for the crocodile card holder. The vast majority of the collection is priced between $240 and $340, and all are available now directly from Crockett & Jones’s website.
