Adidas Just Slashed the Prices on Some of Its Best Everyday Shoes

Some shoes sell themselves. But who doesn’t love a good deal?

Adidas just dropped the prices of thousands of items for its annual “Back to School Sale,” which includes big savings on staples like the Gazelle, SL 72 and Jabbar Lo.

While the Gazelle is probably the biggest name in that list, with a rich history dating back to the 1960s, the other two sneakers have surged in popularity and prestige over the last few months.

The SL 72, for example, recently made it onto the Lyst Index — fashion’s definitive ranking of the hottest products. Harper’s Bazaar even dubbed it the “hottest sneaker of 2025.”

Meanwhile, the Jabbar Lo has towered itself into the spotlight.

First released in the 1970s and launched alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the model resurfaced in late 2024 as part of the brand’s general-release catalog.

Notably, it’s considered one of the NBA’s original signature sneakers.

Key colors on sale

While not every colorway of the three old-school sneakers are included in the sale, notable ones are.

The original SL 72 — defined by its blue upper, white stripes and red detailing around the midsole — drops from $100 to $75 (25 percent savings), as does the fall-friendly “Preloved Brown” colorway.

Meanwhile, half a dozen Gazelle variants — including “Mystery Green” and “Preloved Ruby” — see a 20 percent discount, falling to $80.

Fewer colorways of Jabbar Lo have been released, regardless of the sale. However, the promo sees the vibrant red and green variants both going for $70 (a 30 percent discount).

According to Adidas, the “Back to School Sale” will run through August 8. That is, assuming the discounted colorways last that long.
