NorCal meets SoCal with preeminent outdoor brand The North Face and tack-sharp streetwear brand Brain Dead.

The collection approaches The North Face classics like the Denali, Nuptse and Mountain Jacket through a cerebral lens, shifting the spirit of adventure from the physical to the philosophical. Brain Dead founder Kyle Ng comments, “With this collaboration we wanted to reimagine the concept of the expedition as more of a state of mind. Adventure through ideas.”

The collaborative effort captures the essence of the hippy movement of the ’60s and ’70s with countercultural themes coupled alongside psychedelic graphics in acidic colorways. There are nine pieces in total and the official launch was held at progressive retailer Dover Street Market in Los Angeles. The release hit shelves December 6.
