New York-based designer Todd Snyder teamed up with Japanese performance brand Descente to create four cool-weather jackets. The offerings blend tailored styles and traditional patterns — glen plaid, pinstripe — with technical-advanced features.
The lightest-weight styles, called Circuit Hoodie Jackets, have added heat retention in the form of a titanium particle bombarded sheet, heat-welded to the inside of the fabric. They also feature ultrasonic welded seams to minimize fabric stress at movement points. The most tailored style of the lot, the Bal Collar Coat, has a natural wool feel, but is waterproof (it can withstand 20,000mm of water pressure) and windproof. The Mizusawa Down Jacket uses that same shell material but is filled with non-quilted waterproof down. It also has interior insulation that converts infrared rays that penetrate into your jacket into heat to keep you warm.
So if you want an incredible performance jacket for the cool months that avoids the aesthetic trappings of outdoor outerwear, check out this collection today.
