Washington heritage outfitter Filson and Oregon-based bootmaker Danner teamed up to produce the ultimate fall boots. The Grouse Bottomland boots are lined with Gore-Tex and feature oil Tin Cloth with Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage.
The hunting boot silhouette utilizes stitch-down welted construction (read: durable and rebuildable) and has a shock-absorbing Vibram Olympia sole. The upper has full-grain leather and a lace-up closure — five eyelets and four speed hooks — and a traditional leather kiltie normally found on hard-wearing logging boots.
Available in sizes 7 to 13, it fits true to size and costs $395. So before the fall weather hits, pick up a pair of these rugged boots from two of the Northwest’s most iconic brands — they’ll last you for years to come.
