Whichever way your personal style leans, it’s hard to argue with the virtues of an all-white sneaker, especially now that we’re heading into summer. That’s part of the driving force behind Adidas’s forthcoming release, a collection called Home of Classics that touts the virtues of a well-worn white leather trainer. Some of the same design touches that make high-end sneakers from Common Projects so damned appealing — the impeccably clean designs, the understated gold stamping, midsoles that age to a perfect off-white — are present and accounted for here, but at a much lower price point. The collection will include iconic styles like the Stan Smith, the Supercourt, the Superstar, the Continental 80 and several others, all available for $100 to $120.
These shoes will be limited, and will be released on Adidas’s website at 3AM on Saturday, June 1. We’ll have a fresh batch of coffee on.
