Thanks to the prevalence of normcore in the realm of high-end streetwear, the chunky original Apple sneakers have become an incredibly hot collector’s item. One pair — rumored to be the only existing pair in mint condition — have been listed at least once for $15,000 in Heritage Auctions sales.
While that dream may be out of reach for the actual normies out there, Parisian brand Mephisto is releasing its own take on the shoe, a $395 collaboration with Concepts called the CCM-96. The drop is scheduled for 11am EST today, so if you want to score a pair for yourself, you’d better be poised to click at 10:59. Concepts is also releasing a t-shirt and two hoodies alongside the shoe in homage to Apple’s “Think Different” campaigns, which are priced at $35 and $90 respectively.
