Founded in Japan more than half a century ago, Descente makes some of the best performance apparel on the market. The brand recently joined forces with San Francisco-based DSPTCH, a company known for making sleek and functional bags, cases and travel accessories. Though the two brands may have somewhat disparate backgrounds, they compliment each other well in the Descente x DSPTCH Packable Collection, a small range of gear designed to be especially compact, comfortable and versatile when your life is a highway (or a series of airports, hotels, taxis and trains).
The collection comprises five garments in a uniform stone-gray color, all made from lightweight performance materials — a jacket, vest, long-sleeve tee, short-sleeve tee and shorts, all available for purchase now. Each item can be bundled into a small mesh pouch, making it easier to pack away when it’s time to jet. While all the items are designed to look excellent when worn together, they’re also more than versatile enough to mix in with your favorite jeans, chinos and sweaters if you’re so inclined. The range is available now for purchase, and also includes the very sleek Weekender backpack, which you can preorder until it’s released on April 30.
