Oakland retailer Standard and Strange teamed up with Colorado boot brand Truman Boot Co. to offer two new versions of its Front Range style. This rugged boot features storm welted-construction to protect against adverse weather along with durable outsoles, speed hooks and unstructured toe boxes. The C.F. Stead leathers used are exclusive to the collaboration: rich Auburn Kudu leather ($450) and Black Waxy Commander leather ($430).

Available in sizes 8 to 12, these boots fit true-to-size on a Brannock device (1/2 size larger than a Red Wing Heritage Iron Ranger). And while the price is slightly more than other American-made trench boot styles, this Boulder-based brand offers premium features and top-tier quality — that’s worth shelling out for.

Alden Indy Boots ($557)
George Cleverley William Boots ($925)
