The latest release from Swedish rainwear brand Sutterheim is a nostalgic take on a classic trench coat. Creative director Alexander Stutterheim based the double-breasted knee-length design on a garment his grandfather wore when traveling to the city. The A. Stutterheim Trenchcoat is part of the brand limited-release project called The Private Designs and only 30 are available for purchase.

The timeless style is made from Italian water-repellent, resin-coated cotton and features a red half-lining (a nod to the interior of the concert hall where Stutterheim’s grandfather worked). It also includes a black belt, a storm shield collar, two outer pockets and one inner pocket. And though this is a small-batch garment, its price is still very reasonable. In fact, at $715, it’s less than half of the price of many competitors’ trench coats.

Burberry Kensington Trench Coat ($1,990)
Gucci Chateau Marmont Trench Coat ($4,500)
