Red Wing Heritage is bringing over a pair of shoes previously only available in Japan. The new (to the US) Work Oxfords are modeled after a style originally introduced in the 1950s but have been given a host of modernizing touches. That includes the brand’s Traction Tread rubber outsole, which is attached to the leather upper by a Norwegian welt which is said to be more weather-proof than a traditional Goodyear welt. The upper is made of water-resistant leather from Red Wing’s S.B. Foot Tanning Co., and comes in both Oro Russet and Black Chrome finishes.
