The Backstory
Flint and Tinder: American-Inspired Staples
Flint and Tinder is Huckberry’s hub for simple, hard wearing clothing. From durable flannels to (aptly named) 365 pants — these are pieces you’ll want to wear every single day.
And yeah, for what it’s worth, the brand’s Flannel-lined Waxed Trucker Jacket is also what Pedro Pascal wore in the last season of “The Last of Us.” So if this jacket looks like a particularly cool, ass-kicking go-to, that’s because it is.
The Gist
What Makes this Jacket Stand Out?
For starters, it’s made with waxed, seven-ounce Martexin sailcloth which not only looks and feels great, but it provides a lifetime of weather resistance. How? It’s infinitely re-waxable. That means you can prep the jacket at the end of each summer to re-up its water-resistance for the cold and wet seasons to come.
Meanwhile, on the inside the jacket is lined with a soft, striped blanket fabric along its sleeves and body. So while you lock harsh weather out, you can also lock in a healthy dose of cozy warmth.
Best of all, it’s made in the U.S., and cut, sewn and finished in Los Angeles — so yeah, it’s more than just American-inspired, it’s firmly home-grown.
Our POV
The Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Checks All the Boxes
Sure, technical jackets are great. So are pure style pieces. Both deserve a spot in your wardrobe. But when a rare jacket is able to tick both columns without sacrificing on either front, you’re sure to reach for it more often than not. That’s exactly the kind of jacket Flint and Tinder has managed to produce with the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker.
