Shockoe Atelier is offering American-made jeans cut from deadstock fabric for just $95. The fabric, made in the late ’60s to early ’70s, was found in an abandoned factory in Petersburg, Virginia which was once the home of American Textiles Unlimited. It’s a coarse-grain 13oz denim in a true indigo shade. Offered in two styles — the Big Six (original straight leg) and Drugstore Cowboy (slim-straight fit) — these small-batch jeans feature chain-stitched hems, double-pronged copper rivets and vegetable-tanned leather patches. Plus, Shockoe offers free repairs for the life of the jeans. All things considered, you’d be hard-pressed to find a cooler pair of jeans for under $100.
