Welcome to Talking Points, a series that looks at what makes some products worth talking about, brought to you by Gear Patrol Studios.
Goldwin’s impressively sustainable new collection is built for navigating the city in colder temperatures and will keep you warm while looking cool.
As technical outerwear continues to advance, insulation is also getting greener. More and more brands are packing garments with sustainable fillers – but Goldwin is taking it a step further. Each piece in the brand’s new Puffy outer series is insulated with eco-friendly polyester insulation made from recycled marine plastic (i.e., plastic waste collected in coastal developing countries). Moreover, because Goldwin purchases the plastic directly from the teams who collect it locally, the brand contributes to communities while supporting a healthier planet.
For added durability, the new collection is also made with lightweight GORE-TEX. Within the collection fans can find a vest, jacket and coat. Each breathable, windproof piece is designed to help you layer up and face the day – no matter how gray the day becomes.
