Online menswear retailer Mr Porter just launched an in-house line of style essentials dubbed MR P. The fall collection features products in a range of categories — denim, knitwear, outerwear, shirting, suiting, sweats — at a competitive price point. “Aesthetically we have looked at how we dress and how our customers dress,” says Olie Arnold, Mr Porter’s Style Director. “Interestingly it is not just solely smart or casual, but a mix of both, and more so now incorporating technical garments. Whilst many brands tend to be single track, we have tried to make MR P. a cohesive collection of all styles.”
The garments offer a clean and refined take on wardrobe necessities while complimenting Mr Porter’s current roster of brands. “We have tried hard to not directly compete with any of our existing brands on Mr Porter, but price-wise MR P. sits alongside our big contemporary brands like APC and Paul Smith,” Arnold says. “With the price ranging from $75 for the core t-shirts through to $1,120 for the capsule’s leather jacket, MR P. can offer something for everyone.” Customers can expect a core collection of 24 garments — classic staples like jeans, tees and suiting — to always exist on Mr Porter. New seasonally appropriate pieces will support the core pieces on the site every couple months with the first installation of 29 cool-weather pieces available now.
The go-to online retailer for men, Mr Porter knows clothes. With a focus on timeless design, quality fabric and thoughtful construction, MR P. stands strong next to menswear’s best. It’s all the pieces you need, with the taste you expect.
