Talking Points: Vans Circle Vee
Vans has been making iconic shoes since 1966. The brand’s newest product, the Circle Vee, shows how far Vans’ sustainability efforts have evolved over the decades. Made from thoughtfully sourced materials chosen to minimize harm to our ecosystem, Circle Vees are a pair of kicks you can feel good about wearing. They’re built for comfort in cold weather and protection from the elements, meaning they’re perfect for throwing on after a surf session. And since they’re available in three colorways, you might even find yourself picking up more than one.

New Silhouette
The Circle Vee is a new silhouette representing a milestone in Van’s sustainability efforts. Namely, the renewable materials Vans uses in Circle Vee construction will regrow quickly; knitted uppers are durable and attractive, but most importantly, they reduce overall waste.
Sustainable
The Circle Vee boasts a one-piece knitted upper stitched directly onto its outsole comprising 48 percent organic cotton, 47 percent hemp and 5 percent nylon. Vans has also introduced a new material called EcoWaffle™, a non-petroleum-based natural rubber, in the Circle Vee outsole. Even its laces and linings, made of organic cotton, hemp and jute, are made with sustainability in mind.
Give Back
Vans will donate $1 from every Circle Vee product sold to the Tides Foundation, which supports Ocean Conservancy–with a minimum total gift of $25,000. Pick up a pair of Circle Vees, and not only will you be sporting an innovative new shoe, but you’ll also be giving back.
