Yesterday, the respected New York- and Hong Kong-based menswear retailer The Armoury launched an online shop dedicated to secondhand, vintage and new old-stock clothing, footwear and accessories. Called Drop93, it’s an affordable destination for luxury items such as a Ring Jacket suit or Carmina shoes; you can find them here for more than half off their retail prices. While the selection is still small, The Armoury co-founder Mark Cho noted in an interview with Put This On that new inventory will be added every week.
It’s also noteworthy that Drop93 launched right on the heels of Leffot’s Preowned Footwear Program. Not only do such projects make fine tailoring and luxury garments accessible to a new audience, it saves luxury menswear from suffocating in the back of a closet, unworn for years.
