The Filson Workshop created a collection of one-of-a-kind hand-tooled leather pieces that are now available online. The styles — a card case, a wallet and a briefcase — feature beautiful Western patterns derived from the Sheridan style of leatherworking.
The card case ($250) and the wallet ($275) are made with thick 4-ounce English Bridle Leather from Wickett & Craig. Both styles feature decorative patterns around the perimeter stitching, and because they’re built one-by-one, there are slight variations in every piece.

The standout piece of the hand-tooled collection is Filson’s Original Briefcase with a weatherproof leather flap ($1,800). The best-selling bag features a vegetable-tanned leather flap from Wicket & Craig that’s been treated for water protection and extensively hand tooled. The intricate design takes a skilled craftsman hours of work to complete and is completely unique due to the handmade process.
Available in extremely limited quantities, these heirloom-quality leather pieces are functional works of art designed for everyday use. If you want to invest in craftsmanship, don’t wait — these will be gone before you know it.
