I’ll be frank. I’ve never gone camping and thought, “Hey, I wish I had a huge stainless-steel pitcher.” But now that I know one exists, it might be the first thing on my Christmas list.

Meet the all-new Yeti Pitcher, the latest introduction to the brand’s ever-expanding Rambler collection. And, without a doubt, one of the most over-engineered pitchers in history.

It’s big, it’s durable, it’s awesome. In fact, I might ask for two — one in each size. Here’s why.

Yeti Rambler Pitcher

Like most products in the Rambler collection, this pitcher is made from 18/8 stainless steel and boasts double-wall vacuum insulation, meaning it can keep ice or liquid really cold … and for a really long time.

I can see myself using it at home when my wife and I host pizza parties on our deck. We often scramble to find a vessel big enough to serve something that isn’t beer, whether that’s a batch cocktail or my favorite concoction: hibiscus-tea fruit punch (yeah, it’s really good).

But the pitcher also looks perfectly suited to holding ice at the campsite — or simply as a vehicle to get it from the cooler to the table.

Of course, it can also hold hot beverages. When we do go camping, it’s often with other families and coffee is made in small batches using stovetop percolators. It would be nice to have someplace to pour when ready, so the rest of the kitchen gear can be cleaned and put away as folks wakes up.

Speaking of cleaning, Yeti gave the pitcher its Durasip Ceramic Lining, which also helps with taste. Hot liquid out of stainless steel isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, mine included. It’s a subtle but welcome detail, as is the pitcher’s MagSlider lid.

Price and availability

The Yeti Rambler Pitcher comes in two sizes — 34 ($80) and 64 ounces ($100) — and nine colorways, from core white to the seasonal Big Wave Blue.

Does anyone need to spend upward of $100 on a pitcher? Probably not. But need and want are two different things. I know where I stand.
