One of Yeti’s Cheapest Items Might Also Be Its Most Versatile

Yeti’s Loadout Bucket is an absolute workhorse. The five-gallon bucket has a virtually indestructible design and a few convenient features, including a flexible handle, non-slip bottom and tie-down slots. It’s also stackable, in case you want to buy a few.

And because Yeti makes several accessories for the Loadout Bucket — such as a utility gear belt, interior organizing compartment and watertight lid — you can use it for various things. Use it around the yard, take it fishing or just store your gear.

At $40, it’s also one of the more affordable things that Yeti sells.

Recently, Yeti has come out with maybe the best accessory for Loadout Bucket yet. It makes the bucket more versatile and comfortable. And yes, you’ll actually want to sit on it.

The Loadout Swivel Seat transforms Yeti’s Loadout Bucket into something you’d actually want to sit on. It’s made out of a heavy-duty foam that the brand says is waterproof, UV-protected and abrasion-resistant.

Granted, it’s not going to be super soft. It promises to be a lot more comfortable than non-cushioned lid.

360 degrees of (quiet) rotation

It also swivels a full 360-degree rotation. So you sit on the swivel seat and go round and round in the same direction without being stopped or impeded.

And thanks to “wear-resistant nylon gliders,” Yeti says when the seat swivels … it swivels quietly.

Hang it from the side

The Loadout Swivel Seat has several other convenient features. Like the standard lid, it creates the same water-tight seal that prevents things getting in or out. But it also has a finger release tab that makes removing it dead simple.

And when removed, there’s a hook on the inside of the swivel seat so, instead of dropping it on the ground (and getting the seat dirty), you can hang it from the side of the buck.

Price and availability

The Loadout Swivel Seat costs $60, meaning, like several of the other compatible accessories, it’s more expensive than the Yeti Loadout Bucket itself.

At the time of writing, you can’t order the Swivel Sweat by itself on Yeti’s website … although you can buy it from Tractor Supply. Yeti sells it with a “fully loaded” version of the Loadout Bucket (which comes with other accessories) for $160.

It’s available in one color: black.
