The James Brand is known for making exceptional, minimalist everyday carry gear, especially pocket knives. But the brandโ€™s latest drop โ€” the Uncharted Collection โ€” is all about being robust enough for some of the harshest outdoor environments.

The collectionโ€™s highlights include the James Brand Folsom Pro, arguably the brandโ€™s most adventure-ready EDC knife ever, and the James Brand Humboldt, the brandโ€™s first-ever fillet knife. Whether youโ€™re an angler, a campground cook or something in between, this collection will surely excite you.

Leave it to the pros

While the Folsom is an existing silhouette in The James Brandโ€™s collection, the Pro edition takes it in a completely new direction. With some stylistic and material swaps, this already excellent knife gets new life as an even more rugged, outdoor-ready folder.

That starts with the 3.2-inch drop point blade. While the shape and signature thumb hole deployment remain, the steel is swapped. Now, itโ€™s LC200N, a steel thatโ€™s so corrosion-resistant that itโ€™s almost completely rustproof.

That makes this the perfect minimalist folder to bring along with you on any watery adventure, even if your travels take you out in the middle of the ocean. But thatโ€™s not all thatโ€™s been changed.

The G10 handle has been reshaped for better ergonomics and the milled pattern is designed to offer grip in even the wettest, slimiest conditions. It also gets titanium hardware, including the pocket clip, thatโ€™s also highly corrosion-resistant.

Finishing touches include an ambidextrous liner lock, a sealed ceramic ball-bearing pivot and a new Tidal Blue colorway (along with a more traditional black option).

Fillet oโ€™ fish

Alongside the Folsom Pro, the Uncharted Collection also includes The James Brandโ€™s first-ever fillet knife, the Humboldt. Like its siblings, this fixed blade boasts the brandโ€™s signature minimalism but in a package that anglers and chefs will love.

The handle is made from the same grippy, machined G10 as the Folsom Pro. However, the blade steel is Bรถhler N690, which is less corrosion resistant than LC200N but offers a more precise edge for those sliver-thin cuts.

The knife measures 11.8 inches in total, seven of which make up the blade (as is typical with fillet knives). It also comes with a Kydex sheath, so you can easily bring it with you to the lakeside campground, out on the boat or wherever else.

Along with the two new releases, The Uncharted Collection also includes new Tidal Blue colorways for the brandโ€™s Redstone, Carter and standard Folsom knives; Hardin keychain carabiner; and Alder lanyard.
