With 138 on-site reviews and an average rating of 4.7 stars, Roxon’s flagship multi-tool, the Flex Companion, is clearly a big hit.
Considering its small size, handy swappable tools and sweet price, that’s not surprising.

Nor is the appeal of what the brand has introduced as an encore: a new edition that is smaller, packs more tools and costs even less.
That’s the promise of the new, appropriately named Mini Flex Companion. Let’s take a closer look.
Honey, I shrunk the kit
So how much smaller and cheaper is the spinoff? While the $50 original has a closed size of roughly 3.5” x 1” x 1”, the $40 Mini comes in at 3.1” x 0.85 x 0.8. It’s also half the weight, a feathery 2.7 ounces (versus 5.5).
Even so, it sacrifices little beyond the reality that it can only accommodate what Roxon calls “short implements.”
