After giving the golf world the gift of an all-time entertaining Masters performance just a few weeks back, Rory Mcllroy (and his club maker Taylor Made) are showering fans with another, potentially once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Since 2017, McIlroy has played with a set of custom Taylor-Made RORS∙PROTO Irons based on the brand’s P730s forged blades and tuned to Rory’s liking.

A Winning Tradition

Rory first adopted the custom Taylor-Made RORS∙PROTO Irons back in 2017 and has gone on to win 18 PGA TOUR events and the Masters since.

No one would go as far as to claim that these bespoke clubs are the secret sauce behind his Grand Slam-winning career because he had already won four majors before adopting them. Still, Taylor Made isn’t sheepish about pointing out how McIlroy went on to win 18 PGA TOUR events and the Masters since adopting the new gear.

According to Golfwrx.com, the clubs are made from 1025 carbon steel and distinguished from the off-the-shelf P730s by a slightly higher groove count on the face. They were also tuned to offer an extra 1-degree in loft and made 1/4 inch longer.

Any golfer can now purchase a set of Taylor-Made RORS∙PROTO Irons directly from Taylor Made and choose between various options to suit their game or mirror Rory’s exact clubs, but only through May 15th of 2025.

Right now, any golfer can finally buy a set and tweak it to their own specifications or opt to mimic Rory in full by choosing the same burly Project X 7.0 steel shaft and Golf Pride MCC grip he uses.

But the opportunity won’t last long. Taylor Made is only taking orders from May 1 – May 15th of 2025.

The set’s price starts at $1,499 and will increase depending on customizations.
