Leatherman’s Most Compact and Affordable Multi-Tool Just Got a Stylish Yet Functional Upgrade

With four new Cerakote-powered treatments, the keychain-sized Micra is now more colorful and corrosion-resistant than ever.

You may find this hard to believe, but Leatherman’s most popular everyday mini multi-tool originally appeared nearly 30 years ago.

That’s right, the appropriately named Micra launched in 1996 — and almost immediately caught on with anglers, hobbyists and ordinary folks.

Which should be no surprise, as it packs an almost unbeatable combination of compact size and handy functions.

Starting today, it’s an even more compelling product, thanks to new editions that follow in the footsteps of other semi-recent Leatherman drops, including the Bond, the Skeletool and the Rebar.

While many Leathermans’ handles operate wire cutters and pliers, the Micra boasts a tool you’ll probably find yourself using even more often: spring-action scissors. Indeed, making the scissors essentially the focal point of this tool enables them to be particularly potent.

These two-toned debutantes are not only more colorful but also feature a coating that boosts the Micra’s durability and lifespan.

As with those other tools I just mentioned, the Micra’s new editions have handles that have been treated with Cerakote, which boosts the stainless steel’s resistance to abrasion, wear, corrosion and chemicals.

But while the other tools got two or three fresh colors, the Micra leads the pack with four new hues: Parakeet, Cappuccino, Heathered Blush and Mojito.

Of course, these latest editions carry forward all the functions that have made their predecessors so popular.

Within Micra’s petite frame (1.8 ounces, 2.5 inches closed) you’ll find a 1.6-inch 420HC knife blade, flat/Philips screwdriver, ruler, nail cleaner, tweezers, bottle opener, nail file and both medium and extra small screwdrivers.
