Hoka continues to blaze a trail beyond running with the Infini Hike TC, its first-ever open-toe sandal. However, you might still get away with a quick jog, and most certainly a hearty hike.

That’s because the new silhouette brings a bevy of performance features to the table, starting with not one but two layers of compression-molded EVA foam — similar to what you’d find in its most capable models, including the Kaha 2 Frost Moc GTX and previous iterations of the Mach, Bondi and Clifton series.

What’s more the Infini Hike TC boasts Hoka’s signature MetaRocker, a curved design that encourages a smooth and efficient transition underfoot and aids in stability.

Finally, the sandal includes a Vibram Megagrip outsole with multi-directional perimeter lugs that measure 3.5mm for sufficient traction in conditions wet or dry.

Sole searching

And while Megagrip is famously durable, Hoka designed the Infini Hike TC to be resoleable — a first for Hoka across its entire portfolio since launching 25 years ago.

“From day one, we’ve approached this project as not only how do we make a great performance sandal but also do it with sustainability as a priority,” says Hy Rosario, the director of outdoor and kids’ footwear at Hoka.

On that note, the upper is crafted entirely out of recycled-polyester webbing, which uses a low-water dying technique, as well as Ariaprene, a low-impact alternative to traditional foam.
