A couple of times a year, something pretty special happens in the knife world: Legendary Danish knife brand GiantMouse unveils the next chapter in its storied GM lineup.

Produced in limited runs of just 600 pieces, these exclusive knives are invariably unique, gorgeous and high quality.

Today is one of those days, as the GM13 and GMP13 are here — and just might be the most fantastic minimalist knives the brand has ever created.

They are also a milestone, in that 2025 marks GiantMouse’s 10th year of operation.

The GMP13’s blade has a satin finish, while the handle is orange peel zirconium, marking the first full zirconium scaling in GiantMouse history.

And even though Jens Ansø amicably parted ways with the brand earlier this year, the design bears both his name and that of fellow GiantMouse founder Jesper Voxnaes.

Here’s the nitty gritty on the two new knives. Read fast and click to buy faster if you are interested.

Hawksbill heaven

As is tradition, the latest GM knives come in two varieties: the classic GM13, limited to 400 units, and the edgier GMP13, limited to 200 units. (The P stands for, no joke, “pirate.)

Uniting the two knives is their silhouette, highlighted by 2.8-inch modified hawksbill blades made of S90V super steel, as well as brass backspacers and bearing-based pivots.

The blades deploy via a generous thumb slot and are held in place by a smooth, secure CrossBar Lock.

Produced by Bestech, these knives are the first to feature a reversible steel clip, enabling ambidextrous pocket carry.

The differences lie mainly in the blade finish, handle material and weight. The GM13’s blade has a stonewash finish, the handle is orange peel titanium and the overall weight is 3 ounces.

The GMP13’s blade has a satin finish, while the handle is orange peel zirconium, marking the first full zirconium scaling in GiantMouse history.

This material is both luxurious and durable but not as light as titanium, hence this knife’s heavier weight of 3.7 ounces.

Both knives measure 6.47 inches when extended, and neither is likely to stay in stock for an extended period of time.
