Outdoor gear makers like Patagonia operate on a different calendar than the rest of us. Ours may not read “springtime” yet… but their calendars sure do.

They’re observing the new season by launching all-new warm-weather collections — and in Patagonia’s case, that means lightweight shells, merino tees, and daypacks and pants perfect for hiking.

If the last couple years’ of supply chain issues and shortages in bikes, camping gear, kayaks, and backcountry and nordic ski equipment taught us anything, it’s to get this stuff while it’s hot. In that spirit, here’s Patagonia’s latest and greatest gear, fresh out the oven.

Part of Patagonia’s new Clean Climbing collection, the Venga Pants feature recycled materials and lightweight Regenerative Organic Certified cotton and spandex, with enough stretch for high stepping and durability to stand up to rough rock surfaces.

The newest evolution of the iconic Baggie short features the rugged and functional design you know and love, now made with quick-dry NetPlus 100% post-consumer recycled nylon, which is made from recycled fishing nets. Reduce ocean pollution, and look good doing it.

The brand-new Refugio Daypack is available in both 26 liter and 30 liter capacities, and is built to be the daypack that can do it all. A removable padded laptop sleeve, zippered pocket for desk items like pens and cords and a breathable back panel provide daily function. The Refugio is made with 100-percent recycled, Fair Trade sewn materials and features a PFC-free DWR finish.

This light, breathable and gritty waist pack is part of Patagonia’s Dirt Roamer series, which includes new and improved designs created to support you on the gnarliest mountain bike trails. This waist pack is made with ultra durable, 100-percent recycled nylon and has just enough storage for your essentials.

Although it’s part of the new Spring/ Summer collection, the Dirt Roamer Mountain Biking Waist Pack won’t be available for purchase until 5/1/22.

Sleep cozy in the great outdoors thanks to Patagonia’s updated sleeping bag line. The Fitz Roy Down Sleeping Bag features 800-fill down, and is built to be highly efficient without any needless bells and whistles.

Just in time for summer, Patagonia has released these board shorts, which feature four-way stretch, recycled polyester and a contoured waistband to keep movements in the water easy and comfortable. Bonded seams keep chafing to a minimum, and the self-draining thigh pocket ensures you won’t be waterlogged after you’re done in the waves.
